Call for Works 2012
Sensor is calling for submissions!
We are pleased to invite submissions of works for Sensor, a contemporary arts and culture project,
which seeks to identify most innovative visual, new media and sound artists,
as well as photographers, performers, improvisers and composers.
Sensor will present selected entries alongside invited works in a cross-arts group exhibition.
This is a great opportunity to present your creative work at Sensor 2012.
The deadline for receiving entries is Monday 1st October.
Submissions that arrive after the deadline
will be considered for following editions of the festival.
CATEGORIES:
1. Visual arts: video works, photography, sculpture, installations (including interactive)…

2. Cross-disciplinary arts: audio-visual, mixed media works…

3. Live Performance: audio-visual, laptop improvisation, live-electronics and electro-acoustic performance.

4. Sonic arts: electro-acoustic works, phonography and sound installations (including interactive).
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
There is no entry fee, age limit and no restrictions apply regarding the subject / theme of the work.
Please submit up to three artworks by emailing submissions (at) sensorfest (dot) org or by filling out the online form.
All the copyright for submitted works must be controlled by the artist.
 

SUBMISSION FORMAT:
Please upload your work using one of the many file delivery services (such as www.yousendit.com) in an archived format (zip, rar…)
and include download links to works in your submission. Please do not email large file attachments.
Please ensure that all files are labeled with the title of the piece and artist name(s).

DETAILS:
For video and audio-visual works, please upload a compressed video file (mov, avi, mp4…)

For installations, sculpture and photography: submit an abstract along with supporting imagery
and/or footage, diagrams and technical set-up of the work.
For sound works, please include a stereo version of the piece compressed as an 320 kpbs mp3.

For live performances please include instrumentation and equipment used.
Performers will need to provide their own equipment for performing their pieces.
SELECTION:
Submissions are assessed against high artistic standard and innovation in its field,
as well as experimental and interdisciplinary nature of the works. Works that are analytical,
critical, or showing their subject from a new perspective are desired.
If your work is selected, we will soon contact you with further requirement details.
You will then be required to provide further details and submit full resolution material.
